It looks like we’re starting to get some serious tree regrowth, that will start to block the view a bit next year. It would be a fairly easy job to tackle with volunteers, any one interested in helping out between Christmas and the new year, burn off the excess food etc, please let me know.

We’ve decided to resurrect my original WordPress blog. Primarily as I can post on here and it will automatically be distributed to both Facebook and Twitter. So why the sudden increase in social media? I think most folk would agree Friends of the Hurtwood (FotH) do a remarkable job in managing the public access to over three thousand acres of land, on a very small budget, with one employee (me). However its become clear that we don’t do such a good job of shouting about exactly what we do.
Hence the blog, so I’ll try not bore you all with the minutiae of my daily life, but maybe the saying “Those who shout the loudest” will raise our profile a little and hopefully our income so we can continue to provide some of the best access to the countryside in the south of England.
So just to start, this was the beginning of my week, just two car parks worth!
Welcome back!
